datvac10.zip Extract Data from Inspection Reports
DatVac is a Windows based program that allows users to extract specific information for inspection reports. Currently the inspection report generated by the Zeiss is the only machine supported. Other machines are being considered for future releases.
The user can indicate what data is to be extracted and save this information in what is called a configuration file. When the user wants to extract the data, they simply specify the name of the configuration file to use (so the program knows what data to pull), the name of the result file (where to put the extracted data), and the names of the Zeiss reports to extract the data from. The extracted data from the all of the specified Zeiss reports are put into a comma delimited file (result file specified by the user). Each line of the result file indicates all of the data that has been pulled from one inspection report. Analisys can be performed on the extracted data by any analysis tool that can read a comma delimited file.
Special Requirements: Zeiss data must already be in an ASCII file in order to use this system. If you are running on an older HP (Rocky Mountain Basic version) to run your Zeiss, write the author about details on how to save the data electronically without making any modifications to your existing inspection programs.
